Using a table cloth made of hemp offers many advantages. Five times more resistant than cotton, it can withstand many washes at high temperature. Due to its anti-static properties, it requires less energy during the washes. As an anti-static fibre, a tablecloth made of hemp will not attract or retain stains or dirt, like other material, and has anti-bacterial power. The material associates comfort with the assurance of the right fall such as a fine material like linen and its strength is comparable to a technical fibre like sisal. This marriage of softness and suppleness make it a unique durable cloth. Naturally absorbing fibre, tipped over wine glass must behave! The fabric is also 90 percent UV resistant and can be left outside without the risk of it being damaged by light, salt or abrasive agents.

Our innovative procedures in term of natural dyes have allowed us to face the challenge of using plant based colourings. As a result the colours are often of uneven depth with a delicate “washed out” aspect. In order to ensure a long term stability of the colours, we recommend using a washing powder without whitening agents, since oxidant or perborate found in most washing powder could endanger the colours.
