Hemp gives material a special touch, dense and wavy.
With a natural absorbing quality, the fibre wipes surfaces gently and is especially efficient for wiping glass and bowls. It is resistant to the high temperature of 360 degrees Celsius and its strength makes it handle wear and tear very well. Due to its high oxygen content, bacteria cannot proliferate. There is an extraordinary “freshness effect” to the fabric, as recalled in the old days, when hemp made tea towels were often used to preserve food in order to double its durability.
Colour extract from plant gives a slight washed out effect which is emphasised by the extreme material fluidity. The effect is reinforced with additional washings.
