FABRIC AND MATERIAL

The weaving process is done on old looms in the north of France.

Set aside for years due to the time consuming nature of the craft (it is the old looms which are too slow) and unable to compete with Asian fabrics created to increase profit per meter, they were begging beg to be put back into service, even if slowly. Xavier, our weaver, takes at least two days to tie the threads to form the beginning of a warp and always has a supervisor on the job once the process it put in motion.

The result is a slightly irregular material with a thread count higher than the average for this type of material.

This fabric is organic and does not need any added binding and coating elements, unlike its imported competitors that are poor in weft threads to reduce cost. The result is a high-quality fabric, stemming from the plant’s long fibers as well as the weaving method that creates resistant, elegant, fluid, and lightly wrinkled material.

They absorb humidity,
protect against fluctuating temperatures,
Are anti-bacterial,
Soft to the touch (for your skin?),
And make for relaxing (they make sheets, not pajamas!)
