Hemp flat sheet

Due to the way it is woven, the length of the hemp fibers, and the dyeing method used, this fabric offers a dense, inflated, and undulating effect creating one of the softest materials on the market. The more it is washed, the softer and more flexible the fabric becomes. The very resistant properties of hemp keeps this material looking fresh and bold for a long time. The plant's texture allows for a very pleasant feel: the hollow nature of the hemp fiber makes it resistant to humidity, acting as a natural thermostat, and the lack of chemical treatments make it hypoallergenic. Furthermore, it is anti-static and dirt-resistant. Due to its airy nature, it is impervious to bacterial growth and its lack of protein make it a natural and efficient moth repellant, making it no surprise that the fabric can be found in ancient armoires dating from the 18th century.

In order to preserve these qualities, the material is dyed in beautiful, washed but intense hues that can only be found in nature. This fabric maintains its bounciness and softness even when put in the dryer. To be sure, a bit of eco-friendly softener or white vinegar may be added. No stain removers, but baking soda. The slightly wrinkled effect is intentional and chic, and it is therefore not advised to over-iron the sheet. Eco-friendly detergent, or one with no bleach, is to be used for these delicate fabrics.
